On 8-9 March 2017, the 5th edition of Smart City Forum took place at the Westin Hotel in Warsaw. Grupa LEW S.A. was a Strategic Partner of this event. Forum is a platform for business dialogue and cooperation with central and local administration, which allows for conscious discussion and effective exchange of opinions and experiences in the field of smart cities. It also gives the opportunity to meet with the decision-makers at the national level, government administration and well-known experts.
The culmination of the first day of the forum was Wielka Gala Smart City, during which awards for achievements in the field of Smart City in 2016 were presented. The city of Częstochowa was awarded in the Smart City Innovation category for Częstochowa Resident Card, organized by Grupa LEW S.A. On behalf of President Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, the award was received by Ms. Beata Stryjewska together with the President of the Board of the Grupa LEW, Andrzej Basiak. Reasons for the award: “Czestochowa Resident Card” is a solution that strengthens social ties and supports local entrepreneurs. Enables residents to collect points under the “Local Government Loyalty Program”, integrating existing cards: “Family +” and “Częstochowa Senior”. It also allows you to use the Public Library. In the coming months, it will be integrated with the public transport ticket, and a dedicated mobile application will be created to support the Program.
The second day of the Forum started with a thematic block on urban services. The system of the Local Government Loyalty Program functioning as part of the Czestochowa Resident Card was presented by Andrzej Basiak, President of Grupa LEW and Robert Majer, Advisor to the Mayor of Częstochowa.
During the Smart City Forum, representatives of Grupa LEW presented the Local Government Loyalty Program at the company’s stand. The interest of self-government authorities participating in the forum in loyalty solutions integrating local entrepreneurs, local government and residents was very large and allows to look with optimism in the future that will bring the implementation of the program in other cities.
